ABOUT UT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The University of Texas Elementary School (UTES) is a public, open-enrollment charter school serving 304 East Austin students annually in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Now in its 15th year, UTES represents an effort to apply academic research directly to urban school classrooms. Signature programming includes social and emotional learning, STEaM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), health and wellness, multicultural fine arts, and other innovative initiatives.
The University of Texas Elementary School is part of the University of Texas Charter School System, a unit within the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin.
