Course Description
The goal of this course is to develop student knowledge, skills, and interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Students will learn and then apply technology skills to solve problems, communicate with others, locate information, teach, entertain and inspire.
Components
This course will have six components including; Creativity and Innovation; Communication and Collaboration, Research and Informational Fluency, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Digital Citizenship, and Technology Operations and Concepts

Course Structure
- Components for course may be interwoven or divided into separate units
- A vertically aligned scope and sequence will be created to align instruction in grades Pre-K through five.
- Course will emphasize Project Based Learning and grade level math and science TEKS
- Students will complete beginning of year and end of year assessments to measure student learning
- Students will complete one end of year Showcase Project. Each grade level/and or student may select a project that is a synthesis of the skills and knowledge learned throughout the year. Examples of projects would include; a student-produced film, a collection of student-produced digital stories, the release and use of a student-created application, a robotics competition, a student-run blog, etc.
- One parent class will be provided each year on topics identified connected to STEAM such as internet safety or parent technology education
