In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Little Longhorns and friends of UT Elementary School revisited some of his greatest classics—from “Horton Hears a Who!” to “Green Eggs and Ham” to “The Cat in the Hat”—at the annual Dr. Seuss Day event on Monday, March 4.
Keeping with tradition, students met their visitors at the library and escorted them to the classrooms for a fun-filled morning of storytelling.
Decked out in hand-crafted red-and-white stovetop hats, students listened on as their readers flipped through the colorful pages of Suess’ timeless picture books.
This is one of the many annual events at UT Elementary that shows Little Longhorns how to tap into their imagination and glean life lessons from art and literature.
