Uniforms
Students are required to wear burnt orange, white, or navy blue polo shirts with khaki/navy pants, shorts, or skirts. Gently used uniforms are recycled through our Nurse’s Clinic. Please see our front office if you need extra uniforms.
UT Elementary Arrival & Dismissal Guide
Office Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Please arrange after-school care or transportation as needed, and always inform your child’s teacher and the front office if your child will be picked up by someone other than yourself or a parent/guardian.
Arrival
- 7:15 AM — Earliest drop-off. Students may enter through the café doors and enjoy breakfast in the cafeteria.
- Please do not leave students unattended before 7:15 AM. We are an urban campus and cannot ensure your child’s safety prior to this time.
- 7:30 AM — Parents wishing to join their child for breakfast may check in at the front office when it opens at 7:30 a.m. (photo ID required).
- 7:45 AM — Parents exit campus and the instructional day begins.
- Morning assembly is a student-only event where students connect, celebrate, and prepare for learning.
Dismissal
- Dissmissal begins at 3:30 p.m. Please have your car rider sign or walk-up card ready at pick-up.
- Car Rider Line (Northwestern/Hidalgo): Please remain in line and do not cut in front of other vehicles. Our electronic system depends on the order of cars to move dismissal efficiently. Cutting in slows the process for everyone and may result in being asked to return to the back of the line.
- Walk-Up Gate (Robert T. Martinez): Families may pick up students here.
- If your child uses a car seat and it takes extra time to secure them, please use the walk-up gate to avoid holding up the car line.
- For safety and courtesy, please do not cut through neighboring business parking lots.
Late Pick-Up
- 3:45 PM — Any students not picked up will be moved to the front office, and parents/guardians will be called.
- The principal or assistant principal will remain with students until they are picked up.
- After five late pick-ups in a 9- week period, a mandatory meeting with the principal must be attended in order to maintain enrollment at UTES.
