Little Longhorns celebrated the spirit of the Olympics at UT Elementary’ s annual Olympic Day on Thursday, Oct. 12. After a festive opening ceremony, the teams—representing various countries across the globe—set forth on a number of challenging events, from relay races to ring tossing to group hula-hooping!
Family members joined in on the fun, cheering their favorite teams as they reached for the gold!
As part of the school’s Healthy Family Initiative, Olympic Day gets students in the healthy-living mindset, showing them how to have fun while exercising and leading their team to victory. Go here to read about last year’s event!
