UT Charter School System Special Education Program Facilitator Shanika Ingram and Candace Kerr, ARD Facilitator hosted an IEP 101 training this semester to help parents and caregivers better understand what an IEP is and how it can help their student.
IEP’s are an Individual Education Plan/Program that outlines the program of special education instruction, supports and services that students need to make progress and thrive in school. Students are eligible for an IEP if, through the evaluation process, they are found to have one of the thirteen qualifying disabilities under the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA.)
