UT Elementary’s school social work team plays a vital role in supporting the emotional and social well-being of students and families. Led by a licensed social worker and supported by graduate-level interns from local universities, our services include individual and group interventions, crisis response, and family engagement. We partner with caregivers, teachers, and community providers to ensure students have what they need to thrive—at school and beyond. Services provided by the school social work team include:
-
- Small group Social Emotional Learning
- Individual student support and guidance
- Student mentoring
- Family support including parent workshops and community referrals
When students or families need extra support, our team is here to help connect them to the right resources. This page includes information about how to request assistance, access mental health services, or find trusted community-based supports. Whether it’s a short-term need or a long-term connection, we’re committed to walking alongside families.

UT Elementary proudly partners with Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT). TCHATT provides telemedicine or telehealth programs to school districts to help identify and assess the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents and provide access to mental health services.
Parents/guardians interested in utilizing TCHATT should connect with Andrea Menchaca, school social work coordinator and TCHATT campus liaison.
Visit the TCHATT website for more information: Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) – TCMHCC
